Since I didn’t shoot any new door photos this week I decided to review my photos from last year’s visit to the village of Eze, France and share a few of the many doors that I encountered there. Eze is located in the mountains of South France and is a very picturesque village with many artists, craftsmen and restaurants. I hope you enjoy these doors that I’m sharing with you.
Thanks for visiting my blog and thanks to Norm 2.0 for his Thursday Doors blog. For more blogs and photos of doors by others please go to: Thursday Doors.
Nice doors and a colorful post too!

Lovely shots. I can’t imagine how old that first one is but it must be several centuries at least.

Thanks Norm. I believe this village was populated in the Medieval times so your guess is probably accurate. It was very hot in the summer but it was a beautiful place to visit or spend more time there.

I love the weathered top door, and adore the Poterie door with its shape, and carvings.
It sounds like a great village to visit.

Thanks Deborah. If you ever get a chance to visit that part of the world this is a very nice village to explore. While it is touristy, it is a photographer’s dream to see boundless compositions, and of course, doors. 🙂

Fabulous photos and beautiful old buildings and doors. I love the way the first door seems to blend into the surrounding stonework.

Thank you. While preparing these photos I noticed the Stone Header above the first door also has some interesting markings.

I do love your choices, Gordon! I’ll be in France this summer, but in the NE part, not the south. But I’ll have a good time anyway. 🙂
